Ghost Tour Information

(1) Daytime Ghost & Historical Tour  of 45 minutes, by appointment between 10.00 hrs – 17.00 hrs (finishing before 18.00 hrs). This is more of a historical tour with one or two ‘experiences’ referred to in passing.  Cost per person £5.00 to include souvenir booklet worth £1.00. 

(2) Evening Ghostly Experiences Tour of one hour to one hour and a half, by appointment between 18.00 hrs to 23.00 hrs (finishing before midnight), taking in more of the derelict areas and all sections of the ‘ghost tour’ as published on the Internet. The emphasis is more on explaining and reporting known ghostly experiences linked to the history of the castle. Cost per person £10.00 to include souvenir booklet worth £1.00 plus a complimentary copy of ghost tour featured on the internet (worth £1.00). 

(3) Night time Paranormal Investigation & Participation Tour of four hours or longer, by special booking, between 23.00 hrs – 05.00 hrs (finishing before dawn and no later than 05.00 hrs), taking in all derelict areas, cellars, theatre, and possibly some of the rooms in current use (e.g. Room 36 if not occupied by a resident). Itinerary to include Welcome and Introduction to Guide and Medium, Awareness Class, Ghost Watch Castle Tour, Vigils in selected rooms, Séance in Theatre. The emphasis of this tour is not so much on explaining and reporting known ghostly experiences (the simple telling of it), as on gaining a personal experience and understanding of the energies within the castle (participating in an investigation, making contact, and developing your own psychic abilities). 

This tour should ideally take place mid-week to avoid clashing with weekend events and parties, so you can conduct the Investigation undisturbed by any noise from guests attending functions. Cost per person £75.00 to include souvenir booklet worth £1.00, plus a complimentary copy of ghost tour featured on the internet (worth £1.00). 

This full tour includes a two course evening meal and accommodation. (It is not possible to take this tour without accommodation due to the late hour). If your tour is mid-week, we can generally offer bed and breakfast accommodation in an en-suite room (based on two sharing) if available, otherwise in a non en-suite room with shared bathroom. If your tour is taking place on a Friday or Saturday, when all rooms are generally full – you will be in a dormitory room sharing with others on your tour.
