WALK 7...Ystradgynlais from Abercrave (Start grid ref: SN 817 127) A circular walk from Maes-y-Gwernen Hotel in Abercrave to Caehopkin and then along the route of an old railway line to Ystradgynlais. Passing the original site of the famous Ynyscedwyn Ironworks and returning via an old canal towpath. Distance: 10.3km ((6.4miles) Classification: MODERATE, with one gradual ascent. Notes: A basic compass is necessary to check the direction of travel |
